Local search and Google Business Profile · Zainfy
Most contractors don’t lose the job because their website looks dated. They lose it in the four seconds a homeowner spends scanning the map pack, and someone two towns over is sitting where they should be. Closing that gap is the whole of Zulqarnain’s work.
He has spent six and a half years in SEO, and for the last three he has done nothing but local. No national keyword sheets, no rankings that look impressive in a report and produce nothing. His week is spent on service area logic, city pages that are actually different from one another, and the citation consistency that lives in directories a homeowner will never visit but Google still reads.
Most of it comes back to the Google Business Profile, which quietly decides who gets the phone call. Categories, service listings, photo cadence, review velocity, and the ongoing maintenance most contractors abandon after the first month. It is unglamorous work and he prefers it that way, because it is also the part almost nobody keeps up with, which is why it still moves rankings.
The content he plans follows the same logic. Pages built around what a homeowner actually types at nine at night rather than what an agency assumes they type: cost questions, timeline questions, permit questions, and the quiet comparisons people make long before they fill in a form.
He is straightforward about results, which not everyone in this industry is. Impressions rise on their own. Average position moves when a competitor pauses their own campaign. Neither of those pays for a crew, so he reports on calls and form fills, and says plainly when a month was flat rather than finding a friendlier metric to lead with.
Zulqarnain works almost entirely with remodeling and construction businesses across Florida, Georgia and Michigan.
